VU Opens Admission of International Students and Offers 60 International Study Programmes

Vilnius University (VU) has started the admission of international students. In 2022, VU offers its international students a total of 16 bachelor’s study programmes, 42 master’s degree programmes and 2 integrated study programmes.


Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of international students at VU has grown last year. 438 students were admitted through international admissions, with the majority of students coming from Germany. Students from the USA, Ukraine, India, Turkey and Nigeria also study at the University. VU expects the number of international students to grow in 2022.

Applications are now open for 16 bachelor’s degree programmes, including Accounting and Auditing, Economics, Marketing, Information Systems and Cybersecurity, and Global Challenges Policy. For information on all bachelor’s degree programmes and admission procedures, click here.

VU also invites international students to 42 master’s degree programmes, including Biochemistry, Biophysics, Nanomaterials Chemistry, Data Science, Digital Marketing, DeepTech Entrepreneurship, International and European Law, Eastern European and Russian Studies, Molecular Biology, Neurobiology, Nanotechnology and others. Admission to the Integrated Studies in Medicine and Dentistry in English will start on 1 January 2022.

Foreign nationals who need a visa to enter and study in Lithuania can apply until 1 June 2022. If no visa is required, applications can be submitted until 15 July 2022.
