Vincaite2„I will admit - when graduating from high school, like most of my peers, I was not sure about the field of study - I fluctuated between economics, law, political science, management. However, the fact that I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration with a bachelor's and a master's degree and later defended my dissertation only confirms that I made the right choice.

In the first weeks of my studies, I realized that I like science, and the flexibility of the faculty and the opportunities for additional activities ensure my full development. I will never forget the first session when a math teacher evaluated my efforts during the semester, waived an exam, and wrote a ten. I also will never forget the first days of the faculty event „Mercury days“ together with the student representative office - how we flew around the dormitory of Saulėtekis in order to make the letters VU EF shine in its windows.

In the subsequent courses, the opportunity to combine studies and work was very important, and during the lectures to analyze the practical situations I encounter at work. There were no major problems here either, and as one of the most interesting master's projects, I remember a study by myself and several group members about myself as a "brand": the teacher gave us the task of choosing and analyzing how a brand works, and we are we decided that it would be very interesting to analyze ourselves - after all, each of us has a certain education, experience, knowledge, skills, which we "sell" in the labor market. Maybe it's possible to measure? We wanted to know that and, of course, try our "brands".

Later, while already studying for a doctorate, I saw another aspect of the faculty more clearly - scientific. Just at that time, VU MKIC (the new library) opened its doors, where I spent a lot of time with monographs, scientific articles and databases. And what about the development of public speaking skills by teaching students and attending conferences!“

Vincaite2„I am happy to have an opportunity to be a part of Vilnius University. Here you can not only acquire knowledge about accounting and auditing, but also the skills needed later in life. Although I haven't finished my studies yet, I have already been able to get advice from really great lecturers, get involved in the events organized by the Vilnius University Student Representation. I have many opportunities to combine my studies and even traveling. If I could go back to the past, I would certainly not hesitate to choose this university. I recommend it to others!“

Vincaite2„The accounting and audit study programme provides the skills needed for success in a dynamic global business environment and to become a qualified specialist in the field of accounting.

During my first year in Vilnius University I have acquired knowledge in economics and it’s effects on businesses and our everyday lives, the basics of finance and the principles of accounting which has made me understand the value of money and financial planning, and various sectors of business including management, global business and entrepreneurship. I have gained a great understanding in the tools needed to be able to work in a business environment such as how to use IT and the discipline of statistics to analyse specific data and help build a business.

Vilnius University has a huge student community and makes sure to help integrate new students by organising various events in the faculty and providing easily accessible help and support.

The accounting and audit programme at Vilnius University has given me the fundamentals needed to dive deeper into the study of accounting and become a professional in this field.“

Vincaite2„My decision to apply for a bachelor’s degree in the Accounting and Auditing program was largely based on my interest to have in-depth knowledge in accounting. I feel lucky to take part in the program of Accounting and Audit where lecturers are very responsive to the needs of the class and spare no time to explain us every single detail – this makes me even more inspired, and this exposure to in-depth knowledge and experience make me even more confident that I have made the right choice.“
