Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) N.B. for non-EU/EFTA applicants: the gap since your completed secondary degree should not exceed five years. The Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty Admission Committee might invite the candidate for a remote interview. Applicants who have not taken the national university entrance exams in their home country must take an entrance exam. Important: additional country-specific requirements are set only for the following countries which you can find HERE (STEP 2) The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Translation is considered to be official when it is bound together with the certified true copy of the original document and is confirmed by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English, Lithuanian must be certified true copies and do not require translation. |

Overview
The aim of the study programme is to prepare qualified specialists who have acquired the theoretical and practical knowledge of economics, management, entrepreneurship, and risk management for their professional careers. Throughout the studies, the students build knowledge in the functioning of the economic system, develop skills in the assessment and forecasting of economic phenomena and market changes, the implementation of sustainable development principles, the use of economic and financial analysis methods in decision-making, the application of digital and business analytical tools, and the preparation of managerial tools.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the “Economics and Management” programme will be qualified to either set up their own businesses or work in a vast array of areas, such as: 1) becoming economists or managers in the fields of finance, marketing, and human resources; 2) becoming managers of an organisational unit in a company or in the public sector; 3) becoming middle managers or civil servants in a ministry, parliament, or government.
