Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) N. B. for non-EU/EFTA applicants: the gap since your completed secondary degree should not exceed five years. If your qualification meets the requirements, you will receive an invitation for a motivational interview. Important: additional country-specific requirements are set only for the following countries which you can find HERE (STEP 2). The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Translation is considered to be official when it is bound together with the certified true copy of the original document and is confirmed by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English, Lithuanian must be certified true copies and do not require translation. It is required that you send verified copies of the entry qualification documents directly to the university by postal mail. Important! Never send original documents by post! |

Language requirements | English The following language certificates are accepted for study programmes taught in English: IELTS Academic 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 46+, Cambridge English exam 160+, Pearson PTE Academic 59+, LanguageCert IESOL B2, Duolingo English Test 95+ or another language proficiency certificate equivalent to B2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). If you are a native speaker and/or if the English language was the medium of instruction in your previous studies, you will be exempt from providing an English language test score. |

Overview
The programme develops the student’s written and spoken communication skills in English (C1) and German (B2-C1) essential for a successful career. The curriculum includes a variety of courses aimed to help students develop their language skills as well as advanced skills in the fields of linguistic research and intercultural communication.
Career opportunities
The international labour market needs highly qualified linguists with a good command of two foreign languages (English – level C1 according to the CEFR and German – level B2-C1).
The programme allows its students to build successful careers in a wide variety of fields including international business, tourism, and public service. Our graduates find employment as translators, mediators, proofreaders, language advisors, lexicographers, digital copywriters, content creators, and public servants. They can also go into publishing, marketing, working for foreign embassies, government, and the EU institutions, for (inter)national media, etc.
