Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) Important: additional country-specific requirements are set only for the following countries which you can find HERE (STEP 2). The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Translation is considered to be official when it is bound together with the certified true copy of the original document and is confirmed by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English, Lithuanian must be certified true copies and do not require translation. It is required that you send verified copies of the entry qualification documents directly to the university by postal mail. Important! Never send original documents by post!

Language requirements

English Russian The following language certificates are accepted for study programmes taught in another than English foreign language: IELTS Academic 4.5+, TOEFL iBT 32+, Cambridge English exam 140+, Pearson PTE Academic 43+, LanguageCert IESOL B1, Duolingo English Test 65+ or another language proficiency certificate equivalent to B1 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). If you are a native speaker and/or if the English language was the medium of instruction in your previous studies, you will be exempt from providing an English language test score. Proof of at least B1 level of Russian according to the CEFR. If you are a native speaker and/or if the Russian language was the medium of instruction in your previous studies, you will be exempt from providing a Russian language test score.

Overview

Poland and Lithuania are strategic partners therefore; qualified Polish specialists are always in demand in Lithuania. Our graduates help to develop the political, economic and cultural cooperation ties that have linked the two countries for many years. This study programme allows you to become fluent in Polish even if you start from zero. It provides you with the possibility to get acquainted with Polish literature and culture, as well as with the Polish language and culture of Lithuania, and to master modern methods of language and literature research. You will learn to analyse and evaluate Polish language, culture and literature in a broader context. The programme is flexible and open to students’ interests, allowing them to choose Minor studies of another language and culture, to freely choose different subjects or to individually direct their studies towards linguistics or literary studies. Polish language study starts upon enrolment. General subjects are taught in Russian.
